This trail remains icy until late spring for the most part.  It is three miles one way.  You can enter the trailhead at either Spring Hollow Campground or at Guinavah Campground.  The hike can have some steady climbing but the view is definitely worth it.  The Spring Hollow trailhead is located near Third Dam.  Just cross the bridge, turn right and park.  The Guinavah trailhead is across the bridge near the ampitheater parking area.   The elevation is between 5,200 and 6,000 feet.
